ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Anti-terrorism Court has issued non-bailable arrest warrant of founder of Muttahida Qaumi Movement on Monday, who is living in London since 1992 in self-imposed exile.
The court has instructed law enforcers to arrest the chief of MQM London in three cases by March 16.
The three cases registered against him are under Anti-terrorism Act and related sections in Kohsar Police Station, Bhara Kahu Police Station and Secretariat Police Station in the federal capital.
MQM founder had delivered a provocative speech against Pakistan Army and state institutions on August 22, 2016 prompting Rangers to launch crackdown against the political party in Sindh.
Dozens of offices of the political organisation were bulldozed in Karachi and Hyderabad among other Sindh cities.
Earlier last week, Interpol refused to issue arrest warrant of the party founder who has been alleged of receiving funds from Indian covert agencies and sponsoring terror in Pakistan.
The Interior Ministry was notified by Interpol about the decision through a letter that stated the refusal.
Previously, the MQM founder and chief of MQM London chapter was freed by Scotland Yard in money laundering probe.
