Summary Reports claimed that a human trafficking gang traded 150 women in Islamabad and Rawalpindi
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – According to the spokesperson of Supreme Court of Pakistan, Chief Justice took notice on Friday of reports about human trafficking in twin cities, reported Dunya News.
The reports claimed that a gang involved in human trafficking has traded over 150 women in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. A 40-year-old woman was traded multiple times and sent to Afghanistan.
The women are traded by using fake marriage certificates. According to the claims, a cleric belonging to renowned mosque is involved in the act.
The spokesperson told that an aged women in Swabi trades women from Pakistan to Jalalabad in Afghanistan through agents.
On the other hand, police has showed little power to conduct any sort of action against the inhumane act. Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar has finally taken notice of trafficking of women in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
