Summary Security has been tightened across Pakistan after recent wave of terrorist activities.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News)  - Law enforcement agencies (LEAs) have beefed up security of shrines and public places across country following deadly suicide bombing in Sehwan Sharif.

In Karachi, at least 60 Rangers personnel have been deployed at shrine of Abdullah Shah Ghazi whereas devotees have been asked not to visit the shrine.

Rangers’ officials have also visited the site to review and ensure stern security measures.

Likewise, policemen have also been deployed at other shrines in city amid recent wave of terrorism.

In Lahore, authorities concerned have sealed big shrines of city including Data Darbar. Moreover, police have established checkpoints at various locations.

In Quetta, security is on high alert in Balochistan’s capital whereas at least 2,500 security personnel have been deployed at various spots in the provincial capital. 300 personnel of anti-terrorism force have been deployed at important public offices and installations.

70 checkpoints have also been established across the city.

In Peshawar, security is also on red alert in the city just like other three provincial capitals. Security of courts, shrines, mosques and other public places has been tightened to avoid any untoward incident.

In Islamabad, stern security arrangements have been ensured for shrines and sensitive buildings. Police and other security agencies are on high alert.
