FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – Continuous scarcity of hepatitis curing medicines from past six months is creating severe difficulties for the patients in Faisalabad.

According to details, more than 5,000 hepatitis patients are registered at Allied Hospital, DHQ and General Hospital who are not getting the medicines.

The victims have demanded the government to resolve the matter as early as possible.

The hospital administration has also confirmed the shortage of hepatitis medicine ‘Sovaldi’ whereas the doctors said that the deficiency of medicine is due to increasing number of the patients.

Hepatitis is a fatal disease that results in inflammation of the liver. The patients suffering from this illness develop yellow discoloration of the skin and whites of the eyes, poor appetite, vomiting, tiredness, abdominal pain, or diarrhea.

Proper treatment may be used to treat chronic cases of viral hepatitis.
