ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) has revealed that there is no proper authority that can detect the quality of cardiac stents used in Pakistan, reported Dunya News.
The Chief of DRAP Dr Aslam also pointed out the absence of a proper system that could regulate the prices of stents used.
Furthermore, there doesn’t exist any proper system for the registration of medical devices within the country as was revealed by DRAP.
It has also been reported that alny kind of medical stents including stents are registered under the Drug Act .
Dr Aslam professed that a solution to the stent problem is only possible if there is a proper planning in this regard.
