Summary Akhtar had properties worth lacs of Rupees in addition to an insurance policy
MULTAN (Dunya News) – Unidentified miscreants burnt to death a woman school teacher on Monday after tying her to a bedstead in Makhdoom Rasheed area.
Unidentified men broke into 55-year-old, Parveen Akhtar’s house at a time when she was alone and tied her to a bedstead before setting her on fire and absconding the scene.
Reportedly, neighbours called the police who broke into the lock and seized her charred body.
According to the police, her husband, Iqbal has been taken in custody whose marriage with Akhtar was his second. She did not bear any children but Iqbal has five children with his first wife.
Iqbal stated before the police that his children quarreled with his second wife quite often.
Akhtar had properties worth lacs of Rupees in addition to the insurance policy that she had bought.
