Summary Shehryar Afridi attended the session despite his membership being already suspended
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq is ready to tender his resignation after allegations of lopsidedness and opposition’s criticism is making waves.
According to details, after National Assembly session witnessed an unlikely brawl on Thursday, questions have raised as to how PTI leader Shehryar Afridi attended the session despite his membership being already suspended by ECP on Oct 15.
It has been reported that the assembly staff were guilty of negligence in this regard.
In an exclusive talk with Dunya News, NA Speaker Ayaz Sadiq professed that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) informed the Assembly Secretariat about the membership suspension of Shehryar Khan.
He let it be known that when the NA staff stopped him from entering the assembly, Shehryar Khan revealed that he had submitted his returns.
NA Speaker also revealed that even Shehryar’s attendance was not marked in the session.
Ayaz Sadiq cleared out that the perception regards to Shehryar Khan’s suspension on the basis of yesterday’s brawl is wrong.
NA Speaker also professed that this is a routine matter and any member could not be kicked out of the session.
