ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Contempt of court plea has been filed in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) against Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Monday.
The ECP has directed Khan to file a reply until February 21 on plea filed by Akbar S Babar over embezzlement in funds of the political party. According to the petition, the PTI chief said in an interview with a television channel that he would not apologize to the commission.
The petitioner has sought the ECP to press charges of contempt of court against Khan.
