Summary PFA officials snap-checked several vehicles used for transportation

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Over 2,000 litre adulterated milk has been disposed of by Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Tuesday in a crackdown against substandard food in the metropolis.

In an early morning raid, officials of PFA and police personnel seized over 2,000 litre milk over adulteration of chemicals. Fareeha Anwar, Deputy Director of the authority said that several vehicles used for transportation of milk in the morning were snap-checked today.

Upon learning about adulteration and consumption of unfit milk by locals, the personnel disposed of the product.

The food authority has seized thousands of tonnes of substandard meat across Punjab in the recent past while restaurants were fined and sealed for an announced period of time over ignorance in maintenance of eatables.
