ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday has resumed legal proceeding in Panama Leaks case.

According to details, Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s lawyer continues argument in the hearing whereas the court has also directed to not involve further parties in the case.

Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawyer Naeem Bokhari had concluded his arguments regarding the ownership of London flats and offshore companies by Sharif family highlighted in the Panama Papers.

While presenting his arguments, Naeem Bukhari claimed that there is contradiction between statements of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his son Hussain Nawaz.

He questioned that whether a barrier certificate of offshore company be equated with prize bond.

Bukhari asked whether is it possible that person possessing certificate becomes owner of company.

As per new law, it is mandatory for person to inform custodian of company about possession of certificates, said Bukhari.

Bukhari stated that as per legal term dependent is a person who relies on another, especially a family member, for financial support.

On this, Justice Azmat grilled Naeem Bukhari over repeating old arguments and directed him to continue his remarks if he has something new to say.

Justice Azmat Saeed remarked that there are no documents pertaining to direct inclusion of Nawaz Sharif in Panama Papers rather an offshore company bought Mayfair flats in 1996 and 1993.

Bukhari said Nawaz Sharif bought nameless property for Maryam Nawaz. Upon which, Justice Ejaz Afzal asked Bukhari to present solid evidence pertaining to nameless property.
