Summary Draft has been crafted for constitution of Punjab Road Safety Authority (PRSA).

LAHORE (Daily Dunya) - As per details obtained by Roznama Dunya, PRSA would be competent authority on matters pertaining to driving license, road engineering and vehicles’ fitness certificates which are currently discretion of police, TEPA and Punjab Transport Department (PTD) respectively.

Draft would be finalised after consultation with IG Punjab and all other stakeholders.

Organizational structure of Punjab Road Safety Authority will consist of chairman who will be accompanied by nine members. Punjab government will make all appointments, revealed well-informed sources.

It would be mandatory for chairman to possess a master’s degree with at least 20 years of experience in relevant field whereas members would be appointed for a tenure of three years and a member can chair seat only twice.
