LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Jamaat Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq on Sunday phoned Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah for withdrawing the bill fixing minimum age for the change of religion, reported Dunya News.
Senator Sirajul Haq appreciated the decision and told Murad Ali Shah that JI welcomed it. He expressed hope that no action ‘in contradiction with the constitution’ will be taken in future.
He added that he respected every Pakistani regardless of their faith. “Every Pakistan has equal rights and people from various religious backgrounds are freely acting upon their religions in the country”, Siraj claimed.
