Summary Zardari returned to Pakistan today after around 18 months
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Former president Asif Ali Zardari has criticised the federal government on Friday and said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) worked for the future generations through China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Zardari addressed a gathering of party activists at Jinnah International Airport after he returned from Dubai today.
During his address, Zardari said that PPP has brought a programme of hope and not disappointment while the government is busy in providing contracts and constructing roads.
He said that CPEC was not an investment aiming at construction of roads but it was a development project. Zardari further said that Pakistan was safe and secure owing to the army and the people.
Zardari returned to Pakistan today after around 18 months.

Earlier, Chairman of PPP, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had announced to launch an ‘anti-government drive’ on December 27 if the four demands tabled by the party were not met.
The four demands of the PPP were formation of a parliamentary committee on national security, adoption of a PPP-drafted bill on Panama Leaks probe, implementation of the decision of a multi-party conference chaired by Asif Ali Zardari on CPEC and appointment of a full-time foreign minister.
Bilawal had asserted that the demands would be fulfilled sooner if Zardari was in Pakistan.
