Summary The district government revealed that they handed over 200 trees to the NHA authorities
MULTAN (Dunya News) – With Metro Project hitting Multan and with most of the work in progress in its last phase, the relevant departments have been reported to be involved in the disappearance of valuable assets.
According to details, as many as three hundred trees were cut to clear the road for metro project.
The district government revealed that they handed over 200 trees to the NHA authorities; however both NHA and PHA joined hands in usurping these trees while at the same time disappearing the record of the trees.
Despite of the fact, the district government provided funds amounting to 2 crore for planting 7 lakh more trees on metro route.
It turned out that heavy corruption in these funds have also been a headline story.
However, Chief Secretary despite of these corruption stories has ordered the appointment of DG PHA as DCO Khaniwal
