Yasin Malik rejects Indian top court's statement over Kashmir

Summary Malik stated that first Indian premier Jawaharlal Nehru had also acknowledged the dispute

SRINAGAR (Dunya News) – Yasin Malik, leaders of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has rejected Indian Supreme Court’s order aiming at bounding Kashmiris to follow Indian constitution.

In a statement issued in this regard, Malik said that neither Indian parliament nor the top court could end disputed status of Indian-held Kashmir. The press release states the dispute of Kashmir between India and Pakistan is an internationally acknowledged issue.

Malik stated that first Indian premier Jawaharlal Nehru had also acknowledged the dispute. According to the APHC leader, no Indian legislation could make Kashmir a part of India.

The statement has come in after Indian apex court ruled in a case that disputed Kashmir valley was not out of boundaries of Indian constitution.
