KARACHI (Dunya News) – With the “100 day cleanliness campaign” inaugurated by Karachi mayor Waseem Akhtar entering its third day, heaps of garbage can still be seen at areas where the campaign was kicked off.
It has also been reported that the elected representatives of these particular areas are nowhere to be found, hence revealing the interest of the authorities in the campaign.

While talking about UC-26 of East District, the parks in the area have transformed into garbage units while the debris lying outside the schools is a serious pain in the neck for the students.
The locals were of the opinion that there is no need for a cleanliness campaign; instead a proper set-up should be devised for keeping the city clean.

Moreover, they also expressed that the cleanliness campaign should not be limited to a few areas and that the whole city should be benefitted out of this project.
