MULTAN (Dunya News) – Numerous women in Multan protested against Sui Northern authorities over increasing domestic disputes due to gas outages on Wednesday.

The female residents of Basti Nooran Wali blocked Vehari Road for traffic due to which verbal clash occurred between the protesters and citizens.



The protesting women said that divorce rate is escalating as a result of the disputes between husband and wife which occur over gas loadshedding.

They said that the Chief Justice of Pakistan should take notice of such events.

The protesters asserted that despite of paying bills gas is not available in their homes whereas raise in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices have further augmented the problems.



In the aftermath of such issues, both domestic and commercial users are staging protests in the metropolis.

The protesters have demanded that Sui Northern gas authorities should ensure gas loadshedding according to schedule otherwise; they will be forced to surround and set ablaze the gas office.
