Summary CTD arrested the alleged target-killer who had recently joined Mustafa Kamal's PSP after leaving MQM
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has on Tuesday arrested a target-killer allegedly involved in various murders in the city. The suspect had recently joined Mustafa Kamal’s Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) after leaving Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), reported Dunya News.
The target-killer named Asif aka Halaku Khan was arrested by Civil Lines CTD in an operation in Korangi Industrial Area. Weapons were also found with Asif. CTD in-charge Umar Khattab told that the suspect had recently left MQM to join PSP.
Asif aka Halaku Khan had joined MQM in 2008 to get a job. In 2010, he joined target-killer Junaid aka Bulldog’s team and took part in murders. In April 2010, he killed MQM-Haqiqi worker Aamir and in May of the same year he killed a councilor named Pitras aka Bhutto. In January 2011, he killed Shafique Stay-wala, in February Haqiqi’s Waqar aka Vicky and in August of the same year he killed two workers of Sindh Progressive Party.
In October of 2011, he killed Nadeem and in January 2013 he killed JUI’s local leader Asghar Noorani. Asif went into hiding in Punjab’s Sadiqabad area as soon as the operation in Karachi was launched and then joined PSP in September 2016.
