Navy vigilant over enemy's movement: CNS

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), Admiral Zakaullah has said on Tuesday that navy is keeping an eye on enemy’s movement all the times.

In an informal talk with journalists in Rawalpindi, the naval chief said that the world witnessed how efficiently Pakistan Navy forced Indian submarine in violation of maritime boundary to return.

He said that it was a sacred obligation to defend Pakistan’s maritime boundary.

The CNS also expressed satisfaction over operational readiness of Pakistan Navy and that the force was prepared to counter any challenge. Admiral Zakaullah said that security of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and Gwadar Port was among the priorities of the navy.

Every challenge that Pakistan Navy faces would be aptly dealt with, with cooperation of the people, he added.

The Admiral was present in Rawalpindi in connection with change of command ceremony for Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa today.

General Bajwa assumed charge of the military today as General Raheel Sharif retired after a three-year tenure.
