KARACHI (Dunya News) – Criminals involved in the latest three target killings were reported on Monday to have changed pins in their pistols to escape forensic matches with attacks executed in the past.

Sources privy to Sindh Police have reported that target killers changed pins in their pistols in three different attacks and shells recovered at crime scenes did not match.

Reportedly, police recovered around 24 shells on Kaneez Fatima Road, Rashid Minhas Road and University Road.

However, according to police, operatives of one group orchestrated attacks on Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP).

According to analysts, Karachi is struggling with several issues for past years and as a result unrest in evitable which is why hundreds of target killing incidents are reported every year while other crime incidence are brewing as well.

Federal government had launched a targeted operation in 2013 in Sindh especially in its metropolis under supervision of Pakistan Rangers after which many have claimed that the rate abated.

Amidst questions being raised over future of the targeted operation over General Raheel Sharif’s retirement on Tuesday, the outgoing chief cleared during his meeting with President Mamnoon Hussain last week that the action would continue until elimination of extremism.
