ASHGABAT (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif convened a meeting with President of Turkmenistan during his two-day visit.

The two leaders discussed different matters of mutual importance including TAPI Gas Pipeline Project.

At the airport, he was received by the deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan and officials of Pakistani embassy.



During his stay, the Prime Minister will attend Global Conference on Sustainable Transport being held under the auspices of the United Nations.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon and Turkmenistan are co-hosting the Conference, which is likely to be attended by around 1,500 participants, including Heads of State, Government, Ministers and the UN officials.

The Conference will discuss promotion and role of sustainable transport towards achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

During premier s visit, the Pakistani delegation will sign different MoUs and deals with Turkmenistan government.
