ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Foreign Office (FO) summoned Deputy High Commissioner (HC), J P Singh on Tuesday for the second consecutive day over unprovoked firing at the Line of Control (LoC).
The development today was reported by the spokesperson for the FO who stated that JP Singh was protested with over violation of the ceasefire treaty and violation of maritime boundary. A protest dossier was handed over to the Deputy HC as well.
It should be mentioned here that India resorted to firing and shelling in different sectors including Karela, Jadroot, Baroh among others on Monday claiming lives of at least four civilians and injuring ten.
Indian government switched to war mode in September after alleging Pakistan of carrying out attack on her army in Baramulla District of held-Kashmir that claimed 19 lives.
In the following days, India claimed of carrying out a surgical strike inside Pakistani territory and the statement of her Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) was ridiculed as no evidence was found on the ground.
Last week, an Indian submarine was detected in Pakistani waters which was forced by Pakistan Navy to disclose its location and return.
