KARACHI (Dunya News) – Strict security arrangements have been ensured throughout the country as mobile phone services have been suspended on the occasion of Chehlum of Imam Hussain (RA).
According to security officials, cellular phone services will remain shut down from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
Pillion riding has been banned in Karachi and Quetta while biometric verification for the people attending processions has also been made mandatory.
On the other hand, processions are being taken out in every nook and corner to mark the 40th day to the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (RA).
In Lahore, the main procession was emerged from Haveli Alif while different rallies were also carried out in Quetta, Multan, Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar, and Faisalabad.
