LAHORE (Dunya News) – The blood transfusion authority was established almost two years ago, however, the authority is still deprived of its head as well any office till date.
Red-tapism has turned out to be nightmarish in this regard as the official registration process of as many as 2500 blood banks has not been completed as yet.
In addition, the blood transfusion authority has not yet taken action against unregistered and sub-standard blood banks as well.
These sub-standards and unregistered blood banks the causation of various diseases.
It is also pertinent to mention that the blood banks registration was compulsory till Dec 14.
