Summary ATC accepted former Home Minister's bail for one day in facilitation of provocative speech case
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Former Sindh Home Minister, and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader, Rauf Siddiqui’s bail has on Friday been accepted by Anti-Terror Court (ATC) in the facilitation of provocative speech, reported Dunya News.
The case was registered against Rauf Siddiqui by Site Super Highway police. Rauf Siddiqui has been accused of facilitating MQM founder’s speech.
Rauf Siddiqui had filed a petition with the assistance of Shaukat Hayat Advocate in Sindh High Court, where the ATC organising judge transferred it to Court Room No 1 for hearing.
After listening to the arguments from both the sides, the court accepted the bail for one day against bonds worth Rs 25,000. It also directed the police not to arrest Rauf Siddiqui for one day.
