Summary Two ulema delegations called on CM Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah on Monday.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Two ulema delegations called on Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah at the CM House on Monday during which the recent wave of target killing in Karachi was reviewed Dunya News reported. The ulema delegations on the other hand expressed concern over the arrests made during religious parties’ workers protests in Malir and Numaish Chowrangi.

One delegation was consist of Allama Abbas Kumeli, Sahibzada Hamid Raza and Maulana Nazir Abbas while Qari Usman, Mufti Muhammad Nadeem, Maulana Rahat Ali Hashmi, Maulana Muhammad Salfi and others were members of the other delegation.

The chief minister ordered the release of all religious parties’ workers detained during protests in Malir and Numaish Chowrangi after the meeting. CM Sindh said that Mr Abdi would be set free if he produces the license.

The ulema also demanded release of former Senator, Faisal Raza Abdi, upon which CM said that Mr Abdi has been arrested for possessing an unlicensed gun.

Talking on the issue of Mirza Yousif Hussain arrest, the chief minister said that he would have to seek bail from the court of law.

Those who were also present during the meetings included IS Sindh, Advisor to CM Sindh on Information and Archives Maula Bux Chandio and Advisor to CM Sindh on religious affairs Dr Qayoom Soomro.
