Summary 4 MNAs with over 200,000 votes from Islamabad, vicinity couldn't bring 5000 people, says minister
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News, Web Desk) - Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Tuesday praised Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed s courage. He said that Sheikh Rasheed showed great courage on October 29 but his ally, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan didn t take the risk, reported Dunya News.
While talking to Dunya Media group President Kamran Khan on his show, Khawaja Asif said that PTI didn t come to Sheikh Rasheed s help. "I appreciate Sheikh Rasheed that he came out but his ally didn t come out of Bani Gala; he didn t take the risk", said Asif.
He also added that PTI had four members of national assembly in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Taxila and all of them combined had secured over 200,000 votes in the elections but they couldn t even bring out 5000 people out of those 200,000.
"So it was a complete and utter disaster - and failure - for Imran Khan. This is why I think that Imran Khan was also looking for an escape route", he added.
