Summary Lt Col Shahid and Major Jalal were looking for an alternate route when they fell in the trench
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan Army s Lt Col Shahid was martyred after falling in trench on Saturday as he was looking for an alternate route, due to blocked roads, reported Dunya News.
According to reports, roads were blocked by containers to stop Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers and Army s convoy was on its way to Rawalpindi. Lt Col Shahid and Major Jalal were walking to find an alternate route when they fell in the trench.
PTI leaders expressed their sorrow on the martyrdom of Col Shahid and said that Punjab government was responsible for the incident. PTI spokesperson Naeemul Haq said that Punjab government was also responsible for the demise of new born baby, the previous day.
