ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Terming Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif “the biggest security threat” in the country, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Monday alleged that the premier was defaming the army.
Speaking to reporters outside his residence in Islamabad, Khan said ‘security leaks’ has confirmed that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi’s narrative is same.
“Security leaks have inflicted major damage to Pakistan’s security and Pak Army. But the person responsible for disclosing the details has still not been traced,” he said.
Imran also alleged that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has been seeking support from the Indo-Israeli lobby to safeguard himself and his ‘corruption‘.
He further claimed that there was a connection between Nawaz Sharif and cross-border firing, saying, "We have been seeing this pattern that whenever any activity starts against Nawaz Sharif, the LoC becomes heated. Either explosions take place or something happens at LoC”.
He said Defence Minister Khawaja Asif was supposed to counter conspiracies against Pak Army through his statements, but instead he is busy in defending Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s ‘corruption’.
Khan said Pak Army has played an important role, ranging from Zarb-e-Azb to Balochistan and Karachi, and taking action against the Chotu gang.
“We might also need army for motu gang,” added the PTI chief.

Khan gave these remarks ahead of November 2 plan to lockdown Islamabad in protest against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif‘s alleged corruption.
Leaked documents from the Mossack Fonseca law firm in Panama in April showed the premier s sons Hassan and Hussain, and daughter Maryam, owned at least three offshore holding companies registered in the British Virgin Islands.
The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, which studied the papers, said those companies had engaged in at least $25 million in property and acquisition deals.
GOVT TO ENSURE NORMAL LIFE IN ISLAMABAD
Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid said that it is duty of the Government to ensure normal life in Islamabad in the face of threats of its blockade.
Responding to questions by newsmen in Karachi today, he said Islamabad citizens are also demanding that their routine life should not be disturbed.
He said the Government would act as per law if any attempt was made to disturb lives of the people in Islamabad.
