SIALKOT (Dunya News) - Indian forces opened unprovoked fire at Charar and Harpal Sectors along the Line of Control (LoC) near Sialkot on Sunday night, reportedly violating the ceasefire between the two countries.
The Indian army fired mortar shells at villages Jogo Chak, Nandpur, Salhepur, Saragpur, Banot, Rangpur Jattan near Charar Sector and also targeted villages Harpal, Bajra Garhi, Chak Nanak, Anolla, Silim and Harnawali near Harpal Sector.
One civilian was wounded in the Indian forces unprovoked fire along the LoC who was shifted to Combind Military Hospital, Sialkot. Chenab Rangers personnel responded immediately after which India guns fell silent.
Relations between Pakistan and India have worsened after an attack on Indian military camp in Uri inside India-held Kashmir on Sept 18, where around 20 Indian soldiers were killed. Since then, India has resorted to the unprovoked firing numerous times.
