Summary Three kids fell into the sewer near Shafiq Morr in Karachi, one was saved while 2 failed to survive
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Two died on Sunday after falling into the sewer filled with garbage near Shafiq Morr in New Karachi area. Three kids had fallen into the drain but one of them was taken out alive by the locals while the other two failed to survive, reported Dunya News.
According to details, the kids were playing near the sewer and suddenly fell into it. The locals gathered at the scene and started trying to bring them out. Dead body of one of the kids was recovered from the drain while two were taken out alive. The kids were shifted to a hospital nearby where one of the kids succumbed.
The relatives of the kids said that the sewer was filled with garbage and kids kept playing around it throughout the day. The kids were playing around the sewer today as usual when the incident took place.
This is not the first time such an incident has taken place in the city. Several such incidents have happened in the past as well where the victims held the administration responsible for the incidents while the administration blamed the encroachment and illegal communities developed in the city.
