Summary Decision to reduce electricity tariff will be taken in NEPRA meeting on October 27.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Government has decided to reduce electricity tariff to give relief to the masses, Dunya News reported. The electricity tariff will likely to be reduced by Rs2.76 per unit under the head of monthly fuel adjustment from September.
The decision to reduce electricity tariff on the recommendation of Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) will be taken in the National Electrical Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) meeting on October 27.
On the other hand, NEPRA has increased electricity tariff by 38 paisa under the head of monthly fuel adjustment for the months of July and August. The consumers who consume only up to 50 units will be exempted from this hike.
