ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan’s top military spokesman Lt-Gen Asim Bajwa has said that Pakistan has planned a strategy to give a befitting response to Indian aggression.
While giving an interview to a Chinese news agency, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Asim Bajwa said that India initiated unprovoked firing on Line of Control (LoC) and opened 25000 fires two days before.
He reiterated that Indian claims of surgical strikes against Pakistan are baseless and false.
Inflammatory statements from across the border are further escalating the tensions, he added.
DG ISPR clarified that not a single sanctuary of terrorists is present in Pakistan.
He also informed that the entire area of north Waziristan and Khyber Agency have been cleared from terrorists whereas atleast 3500 militants have been killed and their 992 hideouts have been destroyed during the operation.
He pronounced that atleast 546 security officials embraced martyrdom and 2285 sustained wounds in the aftermath of the operation.
Lt-Gen Asim Bajwa said that intelligence based combing operations are still underway in the rural areas to eliminate the network of terrorists.
Moreover, he also explained that hundreds of suspects were also detained during 22000 operations carried on the basis of tip-off.
