PATTOKI (Dunya News) – According to details, a goods train hit a bus near Landa Phattak area on early Friday morning, killing at least four people and injuring 15 others.
The accident took place when a train rammed into private factory’s bus due to negligence of railway crossing worker.
Rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the dead and injured to a nearby hospital. The deceased have been identified as Aneeq-ur-Rehman, Asif, Nadeem, Waseem Asghar.
At least 13 people were critically wounded in the accident.
Residents have staged protest and blocked the railway track, demanding the local government to take notice of the incident.
On the other hand, railway minister Saad Rafique has announced compensation money of Rs 10 lac to the deceased and Rs 3 lac to the injured people.
A case against gate keeper and railway incharge of that area would also be lodged.
