Summary Kanwal had gone to police station to report about torture by husband but police also tortured her
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Director Inspector General (DIG) operations Dr Haider Ashraf took notice and asked for report, as a woman by tortured by police in Shahdara on Sunday, reported Dunya News.
According to report, Kanwal had gone to police station to file a case against her husband, who was torturing her but police refused to listen to her. Kanwal kept asking them to help her but as a result sub-inspector Insaf tortured her.
DIG operations Dr Haider Ashraf gave a deadline of 24 hours to Superintendent Police (SP) of the city, to report.
