Karachi (Dunya News) – In a crucial hearing of Water Hydrants case, chairman Water Board Misbahuddin Farid submitted report to the Supreme Court Karachi, reported Dunya news.
The judge while giving his remarks on the report said that crucial issues such as environmental pollution, solid state management and water crisis were ignored inside Karachi.
The court further remarked that neither Water Board was ready to supply water nor KMC was able to dispose the wastes. “There are innumerable ghost employees inside Water Board and KMC who are not even related to the problems to any extent” the court remarked.
The court remarked that the deficiency of water was issue related to the welfare of the people and that is why law had to get interference.
The court also proclaimed DHA and the Cantonment Board as white elephants.
Justice Amir Hani Muslim remarked that Water board didn’t want to install meters. Chairman Water Board mentioned in the report that Hydrants should be allowed inside each district as there are 12 Hydrants in the city by now and one Hydrant is placed for NLC.
The court ordered that all the Hydrants should be shut down apart from the six Hydrants for which tender should be filled and submitted within five weeks.
