KARACHI (Dunya News) – Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan has said on Tuesday that founder of Muttahida Qaumi Movement, Altaf Hussain, living in London has been conspiring against Pakistan for past 23 years.
The leader of the opposition political party was talking to the media at Arif Alvi’s residence when he lambasted the premier and his cabinet.
He said that charge of corruption on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is bigger than that on Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s founder of being an agent of Indian Research and Analysis Wing.
He said that the premier who is accused of corruption and concealing assets loses moral authority to lead the nation.
Meanwhile, he also criticised Altaf Hussain by saying that a person is living abroad for over 23 years and working against Pakistan and its institutions. He does not care for the Urdu-speaking people in Karachi and the country.
On the other hand, all arrangements have been finalized for Pakistan Zindabad rally of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in Karachi’s Nishtar Park today.
Imran Khan visited the venue of the rally on Monday night and expressed his satisfaction over the arrangements.
Speaking to the workers gathered at Nishtar Park, the PTI chief criticized Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Safiq for rejecting references against the Prime Minister.
Earlier, speaking to the particiants of a demonstration by Pakistan Steel Mills employees, Imran Khan said that Pakistan was supposed to become a welfare state. He said that in 2008, Pakistan Steel Mills was operating in surplus but it had been looted after that.
Khan further said that country’s educational and judiciary systems have ‘failed.’ "Corruption is the reason behind unemployment in the country," PTI chief said.
"We would protest together with Pakistan Steel Mills employees if their salaries would not be given," the law maker said.
Later, Imran Khan has also visited home of late legendary cricketer Hanif Muhammad and gave condolences to deceased s family. Talking to the media at Hanif Muhammad s home Imran Khan said that Hanif Muhammad was a role model for cricketers. Ex-cricketer also said that Hanif Muhammad had played a great role in cricket.
Imran Khan also mocked Najam Sethi saying that he should be made captain of Pakistan s one day cricket team.
