LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday has said that the government would develop Lahore Safe City Project with the cost of around Rs 12 billion which would be four times bigger and low-priced than that of Islamabad.
While addressing the passing out parade ceremony of Punjab Police College in Sahala, the Chief Minister said that personnel were inducted in the services purely on merit and that uplifts justice done by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.
He directed fresh officials of Punjab Police to carry out their job responsibilities without giving in to any kind of pressure from the government instruments.
To work with impartiality is to honour your pledge made to the country and its people, he said.
He asserted that Punjab Police would further be strengthened for protection of the people and would be made to adapt to ever growing technology.
Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif vowed to continue efforts to end murder of justice and said that police were being given modern weaponry and training.
He expressed his pleasure to be present on the occasion of passing out parade on the 51st Defence Day of Pakistan.
Before concluding his speech, the Chief Minister instructed the newly appointed police officials to live up to people’s expectations.
