DERA GHAZI KHAN (Dunya News) – Heart wrenching scenes were witnessed in Dera Ghazi Khan on Sunday as stray dogs kept nipping the dead body of an infant which was disposed outside a clinic while police officers investigating the newborn’s death kept arguing over their jurisdiction, reported Dunya News.
The dead body of the infant was placed outside a private clinic in Block-5 after it was murdered where stray dogs kept nipping it until passersby informed the police about the matter.
Police officials argued over the jurisdiction area from where the body was found as Block-5 area felt under the jurisdiction of Civil Lines police station but officials arrived at the heart breaking scenes, argued over the matter and returned.
Policemen returned to the area after a while and took the infant’s dead body to the police station. A case was filed under Article-338 against unidentified individuals whereas the body was later on transferred to the Teaching Hospital for postmortem.
