Summary Opposition is trying to halt development in the country for their own interests, says CM Punjab.
LAHORE (Web Desk) - Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday said that those staging protest and sit-in have nothing to do with the problems of nation.
Talking to political representatives in Lahore which was also attended by a delegation of World Bank headed by Country Director Pathamuthu Illangovan, Shehbaz Sharif said that the opposition is trying to halt development in the country for their own interests.
He said that the protests by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are unaccepted.
The minister said that provincial government has taken comprehensive measures to improve education, health, clean drinking water, and skill development sectors.
He said that billions of rupees are being spent to end the poverty and improvement in social sectors.
Chief Minister said that the World Bank is an important partner of Provincial Government regarding improvement in the social sectors.
Country Director of World Bank lauded Punjab Government s billions of rupees reform program and said that the government is heading in a right direction for improvement in various sectors.
The meeting also discussed progress on ongoing projects in health, education, nutrition program and other social sectors.
