Summary Details about transferring of money abroad by individuals named in Panama Papers was also sought
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Saturday issued notices to 400 Pakistani nationals named in the Panama Papers and demanded details regarding their investment within 15 days, reported Dunya News.
FBR demanded details regarding the investment made by these individuals in offshore companies and their sources of income along with details about their investment made in the various assets. Information regarding transferring of money by these individuals in countries abroad was also sought.
Sources indicate that FBR can enquire about details related to ten years of income tax returns through the new article included in the law introduced in July 2016.
