Summary Karachi CCPO advised locals not to take into consideration misinformation regarding child abduction
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Fear of child abduction sweeps through the country as locals belonging to Karachi’s areas of Jat Lane and Gulshan-e-Iqbal beat suspected child kidnappers on Friday, reported Dunya News.
Intimidated locals belonging to Karachi’s Jat Lane took the law in their hands and beat-up a government employee, Suresh Kumar, after confusing him with a child kidnapper. Kumar was handed over to the police later on.
On the other hand, a battery-thief was beaten-up by residents of Gulshan-e-Iqbal as he was wrongly considered as a child abductor.
Karachi Central City Police Officer (CCPO) has advised the citizens not to take into consideration the misinformation being spread regarding child abduction.
