Kidnapping incident: Faisalabad locals protest against police's failure

Summary Demonstrators blocked traffic at Madni Chowk and raised slogans against negligent police officials.

FAISALABAD (Web Desk) – Angry locals blocked Madni Chowk in Faisalabad today (Monday) in protest against police’s failure to recover a 13-year-old boy who was allegedly kidnapped from outside his house last night, Dunya News reported.

It was reported that 13-year-old Waleed was sleeping outside the house when he mysteriously went missing. After looking for Waleed, his relatives informed the police but traditional idleness was shown.

The inability of police to look into the matter triggered a protest by the locals. Agitated mob burnt tyres and raised anti-police slogans at Madni Chowk.



Relatives of the missing child have complained that the police are not cooperating with them.

The increased number of child abductions in different areas of Punjab has deepened the sense of insecurity among the citizens.

Recently, protests erupted in different areas against the growing incidents of kidnapping.
