Quetta blast: Suspected suicide bomber's head sent to Islamabad lab for DNA test

Summary Face screening of about 150 people with the help of CCTV footage of blast is also underway.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Head of suspected suicide bomber in Quetta civil hospital blast has been sent to Islamabad laboratory for DNA test, reported on Wednesday.

Investigation into the matter is underway as police personnel are holding face screening of about 150 people with the help of CCTV footage of blast that claimed lives of 70 people.

Security officers said that the attacker would soon be identified as his head has been sent to the laboratory for further process.

Meanwhile, more than 30 suspects were detained from different localities in major cities. The arrested people allegedly have contacts with banned outfits.

On the other hand, a session chaired by Chief Minister of Balochistan Sanaullah Zehri would continue today to monitor law and order situation in the metropolis.

Major changes in police department are likely to be discussed in the meeting whereas formation of joint investigation team to probe into Quetta blast would also be suggested.
