None of hostage of crashed helicopter related to COAS: ISPR DG

Summary Lives of hostages very precious, all efforts being made for safe return, says Lt. Gen. Asim Bajwa

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) department Director General (DG) Lieutenant General Asim Bajwa on Saturday tweeted that no relative of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif was a part of the crew of the helicopter that crashed in Afghanistan, reported Dunya News.

Lieutenant General Asim Bajwa tweeted that rumours were being spread about the identity of various crew members of the Punjab government s helicopter that crashed in Afghanistan s Logar province. He added that the rumours were baseless as none of the hostages were related to the army chief.

ISPR DG further stated that the lives of the hostages were very precious and that all efforts were being made for their safe return.
