Summary Rangers given exclusive rights in Karachi division according to Article-147, says Murad Ali Shah
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Friday met with Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Murad Ali Shah. Both had discussion over strengthening ties with the federal government, reported Dunya News.
Murad Ali Shah stated that no compromises shall be made upon the rights of Sindh. He demanded that the province should be given representation in institutions such as the Karachi Port Trust, Sui Southern, Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and other federal institutions.
Sindh CM said that a visible difference shall now be seen in the province, adding that his work shall speak in his place. He stated that he has warned all office-holders in the government, further stating that issues related to law and order, education and health shall now be solved.
Murad Ali Shah said that Rangers were given exclusive rights in the Karachi division according to Article-147 and that Rangers shall be able to carry out activities within Sindh with the help of local administration.
He stated that discussion upon Kalabagh Dam cannot be held as decision regarding the project has already been made.
