Plots allotted to martyrs will be Capital Gain Tax-free: Dar

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Sunday spoke to a press conference and said that President Mamnoon approved Income Tax Amendment Ordinance Bill 2016 while Custom act in Provincially Administrated Tribal Areas (PATA) will be declared non-functional in next 24 hours, reported Dunya News.

The law had been legislated which will be implemented through ordinance from this day (Sunday). Ishaq Dar also said that plot allotted to martyrs will be Capital Gain Tax-free while its first will also be exempted from the same tax. The law regarding the sale of immovable property will be implemented from the same date, he added.

The minister also said that Terms of References (TOR) committee session was not possible on August 6. The session could be held on August 1 or 2, before noon, he will talk to Speaker to hold a session on August 8 or 9 otherwise.

He said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI’s) rally on August 7 did not matter. He said that he suggested PTI to look for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government including Chitral situation other than national politics.
