MULTAN/OKARA (Dunya News) - At least three dacoits were killed in two separate encounters in Multan and Okara on Tuesday while eight others managed to escape, Dunya News reported.
According to details, police carried out a raid on a tip-off at a house near Jalaibi More in Multan upon which the dacoits present in the house opened fire at the raiding party. Police returned the fire as a result two dacoits were killed.
The dead dacoits were identified as Tariq and Zulfiqar. Police sources said that eight other dacoits managed to escape from the scene. The dead bodied of the dacoits were shifted to Nishtar Hospital.
On the other hand, one dacoit was killed in encounter with police near Dipalpur Bypass in Okara. The dead dacoit was identified as Zahid Mohal.
