Summary Pakistan shall continue to back Kashmir, says Prime Minister Nawaz

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday stated that Pakistan shall continue endorsing Kashmir and that the country shall raise the issue of the occupied valley on all forums. Prime Minister said that the voice of Kashmiris cannot be suppressed through brutality, reported Dunya News.

PM met with Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman at Jati Umra. While addressing the media after the meeting concluded, Maulana Fazl stated that to invite Martial Law in the country was against the constitution, further stating that if political leaders intended to do accountability on the streets then what was the purpose of having institutions in the country.

JUI-F chief termed the Panama Leaks as a conspiracy, adding that the whole world was silence over the matter and that there was turbulence in Pakistan alone about it. While answering a question related to the protest being organised by the Opposition parties, Fazl stated that the Opposition’s reaction may spoil efforts made to strengthen democracy in the country.

Fazl stated that the popularity of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif soared after the success achieved in Operation Zarb-e-Azb, further stating that the banners with General Raheel s pictures were erected in different cities in order to tarnish his image.
