Summary Freshly discovered reserve would help overcome energy crisis, says experts
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Pakistan Oilfields Limited has reported discovery of an oil and gas reserve Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reported Monday.
According to a notification issued by the department, initial tests suggest that 2,836 barrel oil and 19.26 cubic ft gas could be extracted each day from the site.
Experts have said that the freshly discovered reserve would help overcome energy crisis in the country.
Earlier this year, Mari Petroleum Company Limited discovered oil and natural gas reserve during drilling in Karak district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
During initial short-duration tests, the well flowed oil at the average rate of 1,425 barrels and 1.1MMSCFD of gas per day.
